Jessica is a political strategist with experience in state government, policy advocacy, and community organizing. A Chicagoland native, Jessica has dedicated her career to promoting social justice, including criminal justice reform, mental health accessibility, and equity in education. Jessica’s nonprofit background laid the foundation for her role working in the Illinois General Assembly as chief of staff for Representative Lindsey LaPointe, where they spearheaded policy initiatives in these key areas.
Jessica most recently oversaw the political department at the Democratic Party of Illinois (DPI). During that time, she worked on Mary Kay O’Brien’s campaign for the Illinois Supreme Court — a race that would decide the partisan balance of the state’s highest court in 2022 — and directed a statewide coordinated municipal program in 2023 to combat far-right candidates. Jessica was the architect of DPI’s candidate recruitment and training program that brought stakeholders and key electoral players from across the state together to recruit and train diverse candidates for the 2025 municipal elections.
Jessica holds a B.A. in Political Science from DePaul University of Chicago and spends her free time volunteering with local campaigns and mentoring young people looking to get their foot in the door in the political industry.
